In today’s blog, let us understand ways in which schools can promote awareness about an inclusive environment which supports children with special needs by providing information to the wider community.  As a school, we understand our commitment to promote inclusive practices, i.e. build a culture where all our students strive. What is inclusion and why is it important in education?

Inclusion is a practice that aims to provide all students with equitable access to education, regardless of their abilities, backgrounds, or identities. It involves removing barriers to learning, such as physical, social, cultural and communication barriers, and enabling all students to learn together in the same classroom. Inclusion aims to move beyond mere tolerance of differences and towards a celebration of diversity, where all students feel valued, supported, and included. Inclusion is paramount in education for several reasons: Firstly, it recognizes the inherent worth and dignity of all students, regardless of their differences.
