  Aakash Sai Saladi's Path to Success-  A Parental Perspective Parenthood is a journey filled with surprises, challenges, and countless moments of joy. Our unique journey took an unexpected turn when we discovered that our son, Aakash Sai Saladi, was hearing-impaired. Today, Aakash is a thriving Grade 8 student who has overcome numerous hurdles, all thanks to the wonders of cochlear implants and commitment to his early intervention. The journey began with the realization that Aakash was not responding to sounds as expected. Aakash's hearing impairment was diagnosed, and the journey towards embracing his unique abilities began. Early intervention became the cornerstone of Aakash's development. Abhipsa's Path to Success-  A Parental Perspective Abhipsa Padhi, currently in Grade 6 at Mayoor Pvt. School, encountered a challenging transition during the pandemic, moving from Kuwait to Abu Dhabi in 2021. COVID-19 restrictions meant online classes for Grades 3 and 4, limiting her exposure. This impacted her development significantly like many other kids. When physical classes resumed in Grade 5 after a two-year gap, struggles in her studies emerged.  After the end of the pandemic, restrictions were eased & physical classes were started. Abhipsa returned to face-to-face learning in Grade 5 after a gap of more than 2 years. During her Grade 5 Half-Yearly examinations, her difficulties in studies became evident. In our previous blog posts, you read, “Early intervention has benefits which greatly impact the child’s development and overall well-being.” Investing in early intervention profoundly impacts their lives, guiding them towards a more inclusive and rewarding future. Early intervention helps children develop life and educational skills such as the ability to form and maintain friendships, literacy and problem-solving skills. These abilities will be helpful to them throughout their lives. As a result, it is critical to intervene as soon as feasible.  Although it’s best to mitigate a developmental issue before a child reaches the age of three, early intervention remains important during the subsequent school years.
