 Aakash Sai Saladi's Path to Success-  A Parental Perspective

Parenthood is a journey filled with surprises, challenges, and countless moments of joy. Our unique journey took an unexpected turn when we discovered that our son, Aakash Sai Saladi, was hearing-impaired. Today, Aakash is a thriving Grade 8 student who has overcome numerous hurdles, all thanks to the wonders of cochlear implants and commitment to his early intervention.

The journey began with the realization that Aakash was not responding to sounds as expected. Aakash's hearing impairment was diagnosed, and the journey towards embracing his unique abilities began. Early intervention became the cornerstone of Aakash's development. From the moment we received the diagnosis, we immersed ourselves in understanding the world of hearing impairment and the potential solutions. We received immense guidance and support from the Inclusion team at Mayoor who guided us right from when Aakash was in Kindergarten. 


Aakash's hearing impairment presented a unique set of challenges, particularly in the realm of speech development. While cochlear implants provided him with the ability to perceive sounds, the journey towards clear and articulate speech was a gradual process. Speech therapy sessions became a regular part of our routine, each one marked by small victories and incremental progress. Navigating the educational journey with a hearing-impaired child brought its own set of challenges. We worked closely with educators to create an inclusive environment and created Individualized Educational Plans each year that catered to one step forward to achieving the goals set for him. The support of teachers and classmates played a pivotal role in fostering Aakash's confidence and self-esteem. Aakash has consistently demonstrated that with persistent effort and commitment, any goal is attainable.




On November 5th, 2023, Aakash not only participated but excelled in the UNIFIED ROBOTICS Competition, delivering a remarkable presentation. The Mayoor team, including Aakash, proudly earned a Gold award for the Best Presentation and a Bronze award in the Technical category

We are confident that this is merely the starting point for numerous milestones that Aakash will accomplish in his life, thanks to the support and guidance provided by his teachers and the Inclusion team. We wish to express our sincere appreciation to the educators at Mayoor for their dedication which has played a crucial role in shaping Aakash's path, and we are genuinely grateful for their priceless contributions.

  On February 6, 2025, we proudly inaugurated our new therapy room, ‘TheraNest’ , a dedicated space designed to support students with additional learning needs. This marks a significant step in our ongoing commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment—one where every child has access to the right resources and support to thrive.
