Journey from Struggles to Success: A Heartfelt Reflection on My Time at Mayoor Private School- By Kifah Dalvi

 

As I finally emerge onto the path of my dreams, ready to pursue a BA in Psychology at MIT-WPU Pune, I reflect on the journey that brought me here. I am Kifah, a proud student of the Batch of 2024 at Mayoor Private School. My time at Mayoor has been transformative, shaping not just my academic aspirations but also my personal growth and development. It all started when I joined Mayoor in Grade 4. From the moment I walked through the school gates, I knew that this institution would offer me more than just an education, it would provide me with a multitude of opportunities to grow and succeed.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the special education department, especially to my previous Head of Inclusion. Despite my academic struggles, she always motivated me and pushed me to achieve greater heights. Her unwavering support and inspiration played a crucial role in my academic development up to class 8. Facing numerous obstacles along the way, the dedicated Inclusion teachers at Mayoor taught me how to overcome my fears and become the best version of myself. Due to their dedication towards me and watching them work using different strategies and methods to support the students of determination, I decided to choose a career in ‘Special Education’. 

Then in my class 9th -10th (A Covid Era), here comes one more Inspiring teacher entered in my life. She taught me Home science in class 9 as well as 10th. Well, in the beginning, I did find Home Science as a really boring subject and really hard subject but when the development stages in humans came, I realized how interesting it was, I really loved her way of teaching me through identifying the potential and capabilities that were in build in me that was IT, asking me to read the chapters and then making it like a flip classroom method, overall I would like to tell that even during E-Learning I didn’t feel like I was at home, it felt like I am in school understanding what’s going in school, I would also like to thank my Elements of Business Studies teacher for believing and trusting me, I would also like to thank my IT teachers for the exposure given to me in the web platform regarding website builds and startup websites … Thank you all for helping me have a really good overall percentage in my grade 10. Without your support and motivation, it would not be possible.

The commencement of Grade 11 marked an exciting and transformative period in my academic journey. I was introduced to a variety of new and fascinating subjects, including Psychology, Sociology, Business Studies, Physical Health Education and English still vividly recall the whirlwind of emotions I experienced. It felt like just a day had passed since my 10th board exams concluded, and suddenly, I found myself stepping into the realm of Grade 11. The transition was filled with mixed emotions—anticipation, excitement, and a touch of nervousness. However, the support and enthusiasm of my teachers made a world of difference. Their dedication and passion for their subjects were infectious, easing my transition and igniting my interest in these new areas of study. Each subject brought a unique perspective and set of challenges, making every day a learning adventure.

 
Grade 12—the final year of school—has been a journey filled with a myriad of emotions, excitement, invaluable lessons, and unforgettable memories. This year has been particularly special, marked by the unwavering support and encouragement from my teachers, classmates, and juniors. Every teacher in the higher secondary section played a crucial role in my academic and personal growth. Their constant motivation to study and their willingness to help whenever I faced difficulties are things I will cherish forever. I fondly remember the small yet significant moments when teachers took time after class to explain challenging topics to me. These gestures not only clarified my doubts but also instilled in me a deeper appreciation for their dedication and commitment. As I look back on this incredible journey at Mayoor, I feel immense gratitude. Thank you to all my teachers for understanding my learning needs and for making my time here the best it could be. Your support and camaraderie have left an indelible mark on my heart. I would also like to thank the sports department for providing me with different opportunities helping me look into my potential and developing my core values and schemes.  

In conclusion, my greatest gratitude to my beloved Principal for providing all of us with these many opportunities. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has been a part of this wonderful experience. Always stay happy and keep smiling!
